Oregon 1st Infantry Regiment


HISTORICAL NOTES: The Oregon 1st Infantry Regiment was organized at large November 11, 1864, to January 2, 1865. Ordered to Fort Vancouver, Washington Territory, December 19, 1864. Duty in District of Oregon by Detachments at Fort Vancouver, Fort Klamath, Fort Yamhill, Fort Steilacoom, Fort Dalles, Fort Walls Walls, Colville, Fort Hoskins and Fort Boise, Idaho Territory, covering Boise and Snake River Country and the Owyhee Mines from Indian Raids.
