31st Regiment, Ohio Infantry

Historical Sketch:
Organized at Camp Chase, Columbus, Ohio, August 4, 1861. Left State for Louisville, Ky., September 27, thence moved to Camp Dick Robinson, Ky., October 2, and duty there till December 12. It fought in most of the major battles in the west, Chickamauga, the Atlanta Campaign, the March to the Sea, and the Carolinas Campaign. The Regiment lost during service 2 Officers and 77 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 1 Officer and 153 Enlisted men by disease. Total 233. Officers:
