1st Regiment, North Carolina Volunteers

Historical Notes:
Early in the war troops for State Service and Volunteer Units were formed. Due to confusion between the names, the first 10 volunteer units formed were renamed the 11th through 20th Regiment. Rosters:
The roster of this unit contains the names of 6 men. These names do not appear on the roster of the 1st or 11th Infantry Regiment except as noted.
