3rd Iowa Independent Battery Light Artillery



HISTORICAL NOTES:
The 3rd Iowa Independent Battery Light Artillery was organized at Dubuque and mustered in September 24, 1861. Moved to St. Louis, Mo., September 26-30. It was attached to the 9th Iowa Infantry and served alongside for the war. The Battery lost during service 3 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 34 Enlisted men by disease. Total 37.
