Whitehead, William J.
William J. Whitehead of Clark County, age 27, dark hair, gray eyes dark complex, 5 ft 9 in tall. His left leg was amputated below the knee. A resident of Clark Co., he belonged to
Company C, 44th Ga Reg't.
He was wounded at the Battle of the Wilderness on 5 May 1864. Application filed 12 April 1867.
