HISTORICAL NOTES:
The 1st Regiment, Arkansas Cavalry was organized at Cassville and Springfield, Missouri, June to August, 1862. It mustered in at Springfield, Missouri, August 7, 1862. It was involved in a skirmish near Van Buren April 2, 1865 and mustered out August 20, 1865. During their service, their casualties had been comparatively light. Out of its 1,765 men, 110 had been killed, and another 235 died from disease or accidents. OFFICERS:
