The next version of the HyperDic CD-rom is in preparation, and will be released later this year, so casual users should definitively wait for the next release, rather than buy the old one.
Still, the older version on CD-rom remains useful: not only has HyperDic 1.0 proved to be very stable, but since it is based on WordNet 1.6, it also has some historical interest, making it a suitable acquisition for research libraries.
